What is Lark?

Much like the age-old tension between the bird and the cat, there is a tension between who you are and who you want to be. How do we resolve this tension? We say yes to the adventure, yes to the lark. We create moments of connection, laughter, affirmation, and courage. We create and celebrate to explore the infinite joy of daily life.

Usually, games propose a set of rules to put barriers around your play. Lark instead offers a framework for play and connection. It is a launchpad from which you and your fellow players can explore, imagine, create, and engage.

Build from the foundation Lark offers and make it your own. Create your own rules. Play your own way. It is your creative genius that makes great play, not ours.

Great play incorporates elements of novelty, stakes, and possibility. Great play benefits our lives. We hope Lark brings you much joy, connection, and possibility.

We are Prosocial

Lark was created by outdoor enthusiasts, educators, and spirited folks looking for more connection and spontaneity in their play.

Over the course of several years Lark grew from an impromptu dice game at a Minneapolis distillery into a bona fide, Kickstarter backed, laughter-for-all-who-encounter-it party game for venturesome people. It took on many forms before becoming what it is today and there are an impossible number of inspirations and people to thank.

Our hope is that Lark might be an inspiration for a life or a moment of joy and connectedness, creativity, curiosity, and empathy.
